Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck
$500 (GST exempt). There is an additional licence fee payable directly to WorkSafe for the Forklift Licence.

This course is delivered in a classroom setting with practical training over two days from our Drouin site. Maximum of six participants.
The Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck Course will teach participants the skills and knowledge required to drive forklifts effectively and safely.
- Planning, conducting routine checks on the forklift.
- Shifting loads safely.
- Shutting down.
- Securing the forklift after use.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Applicants will be required to undertake pre-course reading of an activity book to ensure an understanding of the learning content that will be reviewed in the class contact time. These materials will be supplied to the participants upon enrolment and payment of the course. Applicants must provide valid acceptable identification to WorkSafe Victoria, i.e. a current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Intermediate English skills are required.
The course incorporates a variety of knowledge and theory based questionnaires and practical demonstration.
Upon successful completion participants will receive a Notice of Assessment (NoA) from ASTT Training and the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment: TLILIC0003 Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck. Participants must register with WorkSafe Victoria within 60 days of completing the course. WorkSafe Victoria will issue the Forklift Licence.
What to Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire, including steel capped safety boots and long trousers.
Morning Tea and Lunch
Participants are required to provide their own refreshments. Tea, coffee and water will be provided. There is a microwave available for use.
