Course Cost
$300 (GST exempt)
Course Delivery/Duration
This course is delivered in a classroom and warehouse based setting. The course takes one day (8 hours) and can be taken at our Bunyip site or at your workplace (on request).
Course Description
The Working Safely at Heights Course will teach participants theoretical and practical aspects of working at heights. During the course participants will be assisted to develop safe work method statements and risk assessments for working at heights. All workers who conduct or supervise tasks whilst at height will find this course beneficial to workplace safety. It will enable participants to comply with current WHS legislations. The course is primarily being aimed at general construction, maintenance, mining, large factories or other work situations where work is conducted in a place where a fall from one level to another is possible.

Pre-Requisites
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Applicants will be required to undertake pre-course reading of an activity book to ensure an understanding of the learning content that will be reviewed in the class contact time. These materials will be supplied to the participants upon enrolment and payment of the course.
Basic English skills are required.
Assessment Process
The course incorporates a variety of knowledge and theory based questionnaires and practical demonstration.
Outcome
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with a wallet card and the following nationally recognised Statement of Attainment: RIIWHS204E Working Safely at Heights.
What to Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire, including closed-toe shoes and long trousers.
Morning Tea and Lunch
Participants are required to provide their own refreshments. Tea, coffee and water will be provided. There is a microwave available for use.
