Course Delivery/Duration
The Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 metres or more) Course is delivered in a classroom setting with practical training over two days from our Drouin site. Maximum of six participants.
Course Description
The Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 metres or more) Course will teach participants to identify the safety requirements for operating Boom-Type Elevating Work Platforms and their working environments. The course will also give participant a working knowledge of the OH&S and regulatory requirements in accordance with WorkSafe standards.

Pre-Requisites
Applicants must be at least 18 year of age.
Applicants will be required to undertake pre-course reading of an activity book to ensure an understanding of the learning content that will be reviewed in the class contact time. These materials will be supplied to the participants upon enrolment and payment of the course. Applicants must provide valid identification to the WorkSafe Victoria standards, i.e. a current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Intermediate English skills are required.
Assessment Process
The course incorporates a variety of knowledge and theory based questionnaires and practical demonstration.
Outcome
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following nationally recognised Statement of Attainment: TLILIC0005 Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 metres or more).
Upon successful completion participants will be provided a Notice of Assessment (NoA) from WorkSafe Victoria valid for 60 days. Participants must apply for their licence with WorkSafe Victoria within 60 days of completing the course.
What to Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire, including steel capped safety boots and long trousers.
Morning Tea and Lunch
Participants are required to provide their own refreshments. Tea, coffee and water will be provided. There is a microwave available for use.
