This course is delivered over one day (8 hours) in a classroom and warehouse based setting from our Bunyip site.
Course Description
The Workplace Spotting for Service Assets Course provides initial training in accordance with the requirements of Energy Safe Victoria. It is required to be authorised as No Go Zone Spotter, worksite safety observer. Participants will develop competency in the tasks of observing and warning personnel operating mobile plant and equipment against unsafe approach to overhead and underground power lines and other electrical equipment.
Key Elements
- Basic signalling.
- Traffic controlling and radio operations.
Pre-Requisites
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants will be required to undertake pre-course reading to ensure an understanding of the learning content that will be reviewed in the class contact time. These materials will be supplied to the participants upon enrolment and payment of the course.
You must also provide proof of your:
- Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID001 and HLTAID003)
- Current Competency tickets (i.e. earthmoving or plant tickets such as Excavator)
- Drivers Licence/Photo ID
- Unique Student Identification (USI) number
If you do not bring these with you on the day then we give you 30 days to provide the information to us or you forfeit the training and will be required to rebook.
Basic English skills are required.
Assessment Process
The course incorporates a variety of knowledge and theory based questionnaires and practical demonstration.
Outcome
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following nationally recognised Statement of Attainment: 22325VIC Workplace Spotting for Service Assets. Participants will be registered to EnergySafe for the EnergySafe Card.
What to Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire, including closed-toe shoes and long trousers.
Morning Tea and Lunch
Participants are required to provide their own refreshments. Tea, coffee and water will be provided. There is a microwave available for use.
